Welcome
I am an Illinois licensed psychologist with 20+ years in practice. My areas of specialization include ketamine-assisted therapy, psychedelic integration, substance use, harm reduction, depression, anxiety, trauma, and multicultural and systems issues.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from interpersonal process, sensorimotor (somatic), narrative therapy, and contextual/multicultural theories. I value seeing clients not only as individuals, but as people in relational, cultural, and sociopolitical contexts. I have studied and taught most of the major schools of psychotherapy and can draw from these flexibly to create a unique therapy experience based on your specific needs.
I was a full-time professor at Adler University for 11 years and was promoted to Full Professor before returning full-time to practice. I have taught and supervised hundreds of clinicians in training across addiction counseling, somatic and meditative practices, multicultural counseling, psychotherapy theories, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. I have additionally been an activist, community organizer, policy advocate, and I am a published author and speaker. This work has been focused on ending the War on Drugs, racial justice, economic justice, and mental health justice.
Clinical
I work with adult clients (18+) for brief consultation (1-5 sessions), short-term therapy, or long-term therapy. I welcome clients at all stages of change, whether goals include reducing risk, moderating, or abstaining. My practice is trauma-informed, multicultural, and harm-reduction oriented.
Training
I provide training and consultation to individuals and practices on psychedelic-assisted therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, psychedelic integration, harm-reduction therapy, and somatic therapy. My standard training rate is $250/hour. Reduced rate is available to non-profit organizations or individual clinicians who work with marginalized populations.

Research / Media
My research and writing focus on multicultural competence in counseling, stigma as a barrier to help-seeking, substance use and harm reduction, and the therapeutic use of psychedelic substances. I write from a critical cultural perspective and occasionally contribute interviews and public talks.
